Everything Coming to Midway This Swiss Days Weekend

Labor Day weekend means one thing in Midway: Swiss Days. This year's festival runs Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5, from 8:00am to 8:00pm both days at the Town Square (75 100 West). It's free to attend, and it's the single biggest weekend on Midway's calendar.

Getting there and parking

Parking fills up fast right around the square, so plan on the shuttle. If you're coming from Park City, park across from Heber Valley Milk & Artisan Cheese on River Road. Coming from Provo, use the lot on Highway 113 at Tate Lane. Shuttle parking runs $15 and shuttles arrive roughly every 15 minutes. Arrive early Friday morning for the easiest access and first pick of the vendor booths.

What to expect

Hundreds of artisans and vendors line the square with handcrafted goods, home décor, and gifts, alongside Swiss-German food favorites and festival fare throughout the weekend. The Swiss Days Parade kicks off Saturday at 10:00am, followed by live music and entertainment both days. There's a dedicated children's area with a bounce house and climbing wall, plenty of shaded rest areas, and package drop-off for anyone who doesn't want to carry purchases all day. A few practical notes: wear comfortable shoes, bring water, skip the stroller in favor of a baby carrier for navigating the walking paths, and leave pets at home as the town square isn't a pet-friendly venue for this event.

Why it matters beyond the weekend

Swiss Days is Midway's clearest expression of the town's Swiss heritage, and it's also the best single weekend to understand why people fall in love with this community.
